“Despite some outdated aspects like the hard beds and underwhelming wine selection, I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious, well-maintained rooms and functional air conditioning; the walk-in rain shower and Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries were definite highlights. The breakfast is exceptionally varied and fresh, and the Friday fish and chips special offers great value and quality; overall, I found it a worthwhile stay, especially considering the friendly staff and smooth service, though the parking charges for guests seem a bit off.”
